Batgirl: Gotham needs all the help it can get. Ever since Maroni attacked Harvey Dent, the city’s been caught in a pretty dark spiral.
Jim: I’d argue that ever since you came on the scene, it’s been lightening up.

The Anti-Killing Joke
There’s a scene in Batman: Earth One that is sort of the inverse of the scene in The Killing Joke where Barbara is shot by the Joker. I’m not sure if it was intentional, but it’s a cool scene either way.

Batman: Earth One
I was pleased that Batman: Earth One featured Barbara quite a bit, and with how she was written. There are even hints at her future heroic identity. I hope she becomes Batgirl in the sequel.
